When I was in high school there was this certain group of girls that I secretly adored. They were a group of punk girls. I knew several of them, but I wasn't as close to any of them as they were to each other. They all had amazing senses of humor and I thought each and every one of them was gorgeous, even though none of them were conventionally beautiful, they worked what they had and didn't give a shit what anyone thought. None of them were skinny really, they all had curves. And they were all really talented, and continued to do what they did despite criticism.
It's funny that I could adore them so much but I loathed myself for not being skinny, and while people say I have a great sense of humor I still care what people think to a degree.
The other day some guys younger than me started making fun of me, and I realized painfully that I still care what people think to a degree.
I'm just glad I remembered my old role models.. So now I can tell them all to go to hell.
Other than that I hope to start sewing again, but I might have an internship helping an oncologist sort through medical charts, so we'll see how things go on the art front. Pre-med kinda drains all your art time

"the difference between women and men is that men think that the faster way to go to a point is to go straight. Women, no. The faster way to go to a point is to go through curves and fixing every curve"
